Cat of the Week: April

Julia D Cat of the Week

Spring was our theme for naming a beautiful litter of kittens when a very pregnant female, April, arrived and finally gave birth to six precious kittens on April 25, 2022… and by the way, that’s how she got her name!  🙂  She really labored hard delivering the first baby, Sprout, as well as the 2nd one, Primrose, but they came a little easier as the day went on and eventually she had a total of 6 kittens!  This gorgeous girl with the beautiful Brown Tabby & White fur coat has been one amazing, attentive, and very busy mama!  It’s almost time for her and her babies to go out into the bigger world now and have a family of their very own!   We believe she is right around 1 year old. April’s foster mom has spoiled her and all of her precious babies and spent hours upon hours with them in their own little cat heaven… sitting in the ‘cat room’ watching them play as well as rocking in a chair while holding and snuggling with them.  All of them have been out tearing around her home with her adult cats and have had some interaction with kids, but they will need to be introduced slowly into a new environment.  Occasionally a dog comes to visit so they have had some exposure to her, but slow introductions are best for any animal. April is a LOVER GIRL who loves laying in your lap – yep – she’s a lap kitty for people who enjoy having a warm body warming them up!  Now that she’s raised her LAST litter of kittens, she is ready to have more ME ONLY time and relax in her new forever home. She loves to play with wand toys so be sure to have some on hand!  She loves to curl up on a soft blanket or bed and nap the day away… especially if that blanket is on your lap.

April’s adoption fee is $85 and includes spay surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
