Dante is a very calm soul who wants to just be by your side, sit in your lap, and be held and scratched. He loves higher places to feel like the king of the castle, so any place near a window, he can sit for hours! He finds dogs a little scary so will not go up to them, but has no issue with them being in the home or walking by, but prefers not to play with them. He does great with his other foster companion.

Hi, my name is Velvet. I’m about 4 years old and I am a coon hound. I LLLLOOOVVVEE car rides! I am really smart and am kind of obsessed with what’s on the other side… the other side of a door, the other side of the gate, the other side of the wall.. I don’t want to miss anything, ya know. . Just like smart people, smart dogs get bored if they don’t have something to work on. Did I mention I LOVE car rides? It doesn’t matter how long the ride is cause I usually fall asleep in about 3 minutes! I can also walk nicely on a leash and love to go on walks. Just bring out the leash and I will get very excited! I am up to date on all my vaccinations and have been spayed. I don’t mind other dogs, but I am not a fan of cats. I have kind of a sensitive tummy so I eat only one kind of dog food. I would love to find a home with people who want to teach me things and be my best friends. Please come and meet me and find out why my name is Velvet.

Squirt is a special girl looking for a special home! She is very shy and scared of other animals, kids, and loud noises. She is looking for a quite home with just 1 or 2 humans to love her. She’s requested humans that will give her time to adjust and understand that she’s scared and will take time to get used to her new home. Once she gets to know you she can be a real love bug and very sweet!

This handsome man is Biscoe! Don’t you just love that face! He does great in the car and loves to play with his humans. He loves playing with other dogs if properly introduced and is a sweet, smart boy! He loves going for runs/walks and would love to have an active human to call his own. He is selective of the men he is around but this is being worked on with the amazing volunteers at the adoption center. Biscoe should be in a home with kids over 12.

Emerson is a happy go lucky cat that loves attention, gets along great with other cats, and adjusted very quickly to my dog. I have been using a spray bottle to discourage her from jumping on the counters, and it is working well, but she is a little explorer.

Hi! I am King! I am a very friendly, happy boy! Don’t let my size fool you. I am nothing but cuddles and kisses. I love people! I am still pretty young so I have lots of potential to learn so much with a family of my own. I am pretty good on a leash but need to be reminded sometimes that I am not supposed to pull. Did I say I love to give kisses if you let me! Cats don’t seem to bother me too much, but I am not too sure of them. I am a big guy so I may accidentally knock small kids down.

Mercedes is a diluted calico that came in as a stray with her six kittens. She is very cautious of people and will need someone with patience to help her adjust to her new life as a house cat, since she is way too classy to be a street cat. She is litter box trained and never has accidents. With patience, she will allow you to pet her and she is very gentle. She needs someone special to help her come out of her shell and once that happens, she will make a wonderful addition to the family. Mercedes is good with other cats, dogs and gentle children.
