Volunteer of the Month: Tara McCormally

Julia D Volunteer of the Month

Tara began volunteering for Last Hope during the fall of 2018. She knew some people who had fostered and adopted through Last Hope and after attending an open house one evening, she inquired about volunteering.

She really wanted to spend time with the dogs so she went through training and then started to pick up evening volunteer shifts with the dogs. Tara walked a dog in the St. Patrick’s Day parade, helped at Wag-O-Ween, assisted during open houses at the Center, helped with bath and microchip events at the Center, and she’s been helping out at adoption events as well.  In addition to all that, she also has picked up dogs at the Center and taken them to doggy daycare.

Tara says, “I like getting dogs out and taking them to events.  Seeing how excited they get to be getting so much attention, it’s so sweet!”

Thank you, Tara, for all your help! The dogs really appreciate you getting them out and about.

We couldn’t do what we do without volunteers like Tara. If you’d like to learn more about volunteering at Last Hope, please email volunteer@adopthope.org. Or you can complete an adoption application HERE.
