Dog of the Week: Nevaeh

Julia D Dog of the Week

Hi, my name is Nevaeh. I am a 7-year-old brindle pitbull that loves to give kisses. I was found in Cedar Rapids emaciated, dirty with really long nails. The volunteers at Last Hope are the best! They cleaned me up and helped me gain back weight. I overheard my foster parents saying I think I am a lap dog. I am not sure what that means. Am I not supposed to jump in your lap?

I love being with my people and I give the best hugs and kisses. I  also love to play with toys.   Treats are the best. I know “sit,” “stay,” and I know what “no” means. I am working on “speak” and “shake.” I am a smart girl, so it shouldn’t take me long to learn. My foster mom says I am a really good listener and she wants me to teach my foster siblings to behave as well as I do. I should not be in a home with cats, but I get along with my three dog foster siblings. With a slow introduction, I should do great with a doggy friend in my forever home.    If you are looking for a sweet dog to be by your side, I am your gal. I promise you will fall in love with me and all my doggy kisses!

Nevaeh’s adoption fee is $250 and includes spay surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
