Volunteer of the Month: Mindy Nolan
Mindy learned about Last Hope while she was in school at Kirkwood. She’s been volunteering with us for a little over a year and she is a definite asset to the team!
She volunteers most Thursday evenings taking care of the dogs at the Adoption Center. This can be hard and dirty work but she’s committed to helping them out. She gets food and water for them, cleans their kennels, folds laundry, does dishes, takes the dogs outside, etc. Sometimes she gives baths and takes them on walks when the weather is nice. In addition to her Thursday nights, she also volunteers at events and is a foster mom for dogs. So far she has fostered five dogs.
When asked why she likes to volunteer at Last Hope Mindy said, “I believe in rescuing animals and finding them loving homes that they deserve. I love cuddling with all the dogs and seeing how much they change over their time with us.”
Volunteers like Mindy who are dependable and dedicated are so important for us to be able to fulfill our mission of helping homeless animals. Thank you, Mindy, for all your hard work!
