Volunteer of the Month: Erika White

Julia D Volunteer of the Month

Erika began volunteering about two years ago. Her daughter would come home from volunteering at Last Hope and talk about the dogs and Erika decided she wanted to be a part of it.

She works with the dogs: Let them outside, clean kennels, feed and water them, give them love and snuggles, laundry, dishes, and anything else that needs to be done. Erika also volunteers at events whenever she can.

She says she likes to volunteer at Last Hope because she likes seeing how the dogs grow and learn and how happy they are to see her when she comes in.

Erika says, “I never thought I could volunteer at a rescue because I thought I would want to bring them all home with me.  (I still would if I could!) But, seeing how well cared for they are at Last Hope and all the people they get to meet, makes it all worth being a part of something amazing like this. I look forward to coming each week to see them all!”

Erika is an important and dependable member of our team and she interacts really well with the dogs. We’re lucky to have her!
