Dog of the Week: Steele

Julia D Dog of the Week

Introducing Steele, a handsome bundle of spirit and vitality. This energetic boy dreams of a home with a large yard for ample exercise. He has an insatiable love for walks, always ready to set out on an adventure.  Steele’s rough-and-tumble play style can be overwhelming for young kids and smaller pets, but a companion of similar size and energy would be ideal. This exuberant canine will thrive with a patient and experienced owner who is committed to enrichment, regular walks, and helping him channel his energy productively. Steele is potty trained, trusted to not be kenneled in his current foster home, and already knows basic commands such as sit and shake. Steele is food-motivated and eager to learn and please!   Steele was heartworm-positive when he joined our rescue, he has undergone heartworm treatment through our veterinarian and is now healthy.  It is important that Steele remain on monthly prescription preventatives year-round for the rest of his life. He is about three years old.

Steele’s adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
