Dog of the Week: Nala

Julia D Dog of the Week

Sweet and goofy Nala is sure to steal your heart, and then steal your spot on the couch! This XL girl has lots of love to give an owner who will appreciate her exuberant personality. Although she may be all wiggles and come on strong when she meets you, Nala settles in quickly and has a low to medium energy level that is very enjoyable.  Nala is dog friendly (we are going to recommend medium to large-sized, easy-going male dogs for her at this time). We are also told that she can scale a fence, but we have not given her the opportunity to show off this skill, so a 6-foot fence is needed for her. She is curious about cats but respectful, she could be paired with a cat that has its own dedicated safe space in the home to escape when wanted. Nala is seeking a homeowner with a good-sized yard and someone that loves playing fetch! She needs an experienced dog owner who enjoys walking a strong dog on a leash (she doesn’t pull, but she is large and can direct you to where she wants to go if given the chance), and someone who will help keep her allergy-free (allergy shots have been given seasonally to help with flare-ups and a high-quality limited ingredient diet). Elementary-aged kids or older please, just given her size and loving nature. Nala is between three and four years old.

Nala’s adoption fee is $250 and includes spay surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
