Dog of the Week: Monster

Julia D Dog of the Week

Monster is my name, but it’s certainly not my personality!  I’m not a monster and it would be nice if you changed it, that’s just the name that I came into rescue with.  My foster mom calls me Monte Hall.   I like sitting next to you on the couch or in your lap, getting petted, belly rubs, going for walks, and playing with other dogs.  I come from a home that had multiple dogs.  I’m a quick learner and know “off” – even though I’d rather sit next to you.     I have some things I really like to do, such as getting into garbage & recycling so it needs to be put away.  I am an escape artist so a fenced-in yard will be required for my forever home.   I have good energy and love to run around the yard.  I am house trained and I think I could do well with children. I do have some medical needs to be aware of, I came to rescue with a collapsed trachea so need an owner who is careful about using a good harness when we walk on a leash. I’ve also had some problems with pancreatitis but my foster mom has helped me to feel much better with the help of our veterinarian and some good food. Monster is between five and six years old and weighs about 21 pounds.

Monster’s adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
