Dog of the Week: Colonel

Julia D Dog of the Week

Colonel is a large dog with a lot of love to give! He is friendly and kind with people and has done especially well meeting new people and making friends. We have had him in multiple public settings, and are so impressed with how well he responds to meeting new people!  He can be dog selective and seems to be most comfortable with female dogs near his size. Colonel is not a fit in a home with small animals, including cats or chickens as he does have a prey drive.  Colonel is seeking a home with a nice big yard for him to enjoy and someone who is active and will get him out on walks as this is one of his favorite things to do! He also seems comfortable with all people, but has never been around very small children so is best suited for a home with kids elementary-aged children at this time. Colonel does need an experienced dog owner who will provide him with guidance and training. He does respond well to verbal commands/cues. He is about three years old.

Colonel’s adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
