Dog of the Week: Buck

Buck is a one-year-old boxer with all the puppy energy and wiggles!  With very little direction he loves putting all that energy into learning new manners and tricks.  He is very good at sitting and being patient while waiting for his food dish but is still working on jumping out of excitement, but he is food motivated which greatly helps with training.  Buck used to be a little afraid of going into the kennel, but his foster brother has assured him that it is easy and you get treats for having to go into the kennel.  We have had no accidents in the house with frequent potty trips outside, he is great to go through the night and when it comes to sleeping…man does he love to sleep and snuggle with his foster brother and humans!!!  Buck does well with baths, brushing his teeth, and is so calm while on car rides.  His favorite toys are the ones that his foster brother already is already using, but he also finds much enjoyment with tennis balls or squeaky toys.  Buck is such a pleaser and a lover to humans and other dogs, he will be happiest in a home with another playful dog companion. He would also love someone who isn’t gone for long hours during the day. He comes home from doggie daycare completely zonked but still wants to follow you around so he doesn’t miss anything that you are doing.  Buck is very much still curious and learning about the world around him.  Give him structure, snuggles, and teach with treats and this dog is going to be someone’s dream baby!

Buck’s adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
