Dog of the Week: Blanca (Lena)

Julia D Dog of the Week

Lena (aka Blanca) would make a great addition to a family. We believe she is an 8- to 10-month-old hound mix and she absolutely loves people. She may have some Labrador, or even Rhodesian Ridgeback in her DNA as well but one thing is for certain – she’s a beautiful dog!  Her foster mom is helping her learn to obey and control her energy. She is doing great with her training and loves to do tricks for people. Lena is very food motivated and eager to please. She absolutely loves her walks so she can see what’s going on in the neighborhood and get to know new people. Lena does well with dogs after she gets to know them but hasn’t had a lot of experience with other animals. She is sweet and very even-keeled once she knows her boundaries in a new place. She still has some of that puppy energy so she would be best adopted by an active family that will let her run around with the kids or take her on outdoor adventures.

Blanca’s adoption fee is $300 and includes spay surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
