Cats of the Week: McGhee and Yumi

McGhee and her mom (Yumi) were found at a rental property where they had been abandoned by the former tenants. Life had been rough and they were thin and wary. McGhee appears to have been the only kitten to survive. She is a confident and sleek little lady who enjoys petting but is very capable of amusing herself. She has lived with other cats and dogs and done very well with everyone. She will likely be a super low-maintenance (and gorgeous) companion. She is still wary of humans and will need a quiet and patient home to warm up to.

Yumi is a tiny and dedicated mama. She was extremely thin when found and trapped, but her kitten was very healthy; she gave everything to her surviving baby! Once in captivity,  Yumi was discovered to be gentle, social, and very interested in bonding with her caretaker. She is around one year old and has done well with other cats but is still leery of dogs. She would likely do best in a quiet home.

We would love to see McGhee and Yumi go to a home together! Their adoption fees include spay surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, and microchips with free lifetime registration.
