Cat of the Week: Felon

Julia D Cat of the Week

Felon is a sweet boy with a naughty streak…that’s how he earned his name anyway! Felon was a man on the loose, roaming around town when he decided to visit the grocery store. In true Felon style, he just let himself in the store and didn’t wait for help! Automatic doors are funny like that…they don’t care if you’re a cat or a person, they open up either way! Don’t let his name scare you, this boy has retired from his days of trespassing, and now he’s only seeking mischief on the small scale…stealing hearts and thieving snacks. Felon’s days on the street did leave their mark, he is FIV+ so has the potential to have a compromised immune system and may do best as an only cat or in a home with other cats that are also FIV+.  Felon is also front paw declawed, this was done before he came into rescue. Felon can be grouchy with change, so an owner who can give him a little space and help him to settle into a new routine will be the best fit for him. He may also be best suited for a home with older kids at this time.  We have a feeling he can stand his own with a respectful pooch, but do want to be mindful of the fact that he no longer has claws to defend himself. Felon is about ten years old.

Felon’s adoption fee is $85 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
