Katie and Drew have been volunteering since April of this year and they really jumped in with both feet! Or should that be four feet? Either way, They found out about Last Hope through adopting a dog from us, Bernie. They felt we really cared for the pets we took in and decided they wanted to help with that.

They have helped by fostering four dogs already and assisting at Barks & Brew 2021. They are excellent caretakers of their foster dogs and plan to continue fostering into the future.

About volunteering Katie says, “We like volunteering for Last Hope because we wanted to give back to the amazing people who saved our Bernie. Once we started, we quickly realized how much love everyone at Last Hope has for animals and it makes us feel good to be a part of that. We have loved helping all of the dogs in need and loved seeing all of their personalities come out once they feel comfortable and confident in our home, which has seamlessly translated to a good home with their new families.”
