About 10 years ago, Emily Halbur was completing an internship at Cedar Run Company when she heard about Last Hope and decided to volunteer some of her time. She started out helping with intake then fostering pets and also grooming pets when needed.

Currently, she is a fostering superstar! She helps out mainly with dogs but has also fostered a litter of

Oliver

kittens. Emily has fostered dogs with various needs; from puppies that need socializing to medical/hospice fosters that need physical care.

Emily has a seven-year-old son, Oliver, who helps out a lot with the fosters. He is a big animal lover and often the fosters warm up to him before Emily. The family has adopted two cats (Howard and Bootsie) and three dogs (Momo, Andi, and Barbie) from Last Hope.

We couldn’t do what we do without caring, dedicated foster homes like Emily’s. Thank you, Emily, for all you do!
