Happy Tail: Bella (formerly Lark and Lilly)

Julia D Happy Tails

2020 has been a tough year for pretty much all of us. Between COVID and the derecho, Iowans just couldn’t seem to catch a break. Christin’s friend was in the process of adopting a dog from Last Hope in March of 2020. Christin told her that they would be looking for a dog soon but then found out Last Hope had some big litters of puppies and that we’d be suspending adoptions in the following week. Christin and her family sped up their timeline and met Bella (formerly Lark and Lilly). The adoption process was smooth and they soon had a new family member. Christin says that when she saw Bella’s eyes she just knew she was the dog for their family.

Bella fit right in to her new home quickly and they say she is the fastest, sweetest, kissiest pup ever! She gets along really well with her older dog sister, Molly. In fact, they’re practically inseparable. And the bond between Bella and her human siblings is strong as well. Dharma gives great hugs and Desmond gives the best scratchies!

At a difficult time, Bella came into the lives of Christin, Brian, Dharma, and Desmond and became a bright spot. Christin says, “She lays on me and kisses my tears away; she comes to me when I am down and really just lights up the house. She keeps us all going and I can’t thank Last Hope enough for completing our family.”

Animals really have the power to make us feel better. We’re so happy Bella found such a loving family for her forever home and that she was able to help them through a tough time.
