Happy Tail: Asher

Asher came to Last Hope neglected and underweight. You can see by the pictures, that’s definitely not the case anymore!

Sara, TJ, and Ellie had lost their pit and their other dog, Yoku, was missing her friend and so was the family. They decided to get another pit and did a search for rescues in the area and found Last Hope.

Asher fit into the family amazingly well. He and Yoku get along great and spend a lot of time playing and rough-housing with each other. The family made sure he got to and maintained a good weight. When playtime is over, he is a cuddlebug. He definitely knows where the treat jars are and loves being rewarded for being a good dog. You can tell he’s happy with this family because his tail wags nonstop.

It is so sad to see animals come into our care mistreated, neglected, and emaciated. But then we get to experience the joy of seeing a family love and care for them and completely turn their lives around. Asher is so lucky to have found his family and we are thankful to them for taking such good care of him.
