Dogs of the Week: Rolo and Cadbury

Meet Rolo and Cadbury, two fun-loving Pekingese boys. They are former breeder dogs that, unfortunately, did not have the best life before being rescued. They are leaving that all behind and are ready to move into their furever home together. Rolo (4 years old) comes with the cutest underbite, and his brother, Cadbury (6 years old), is the all white one. They both came into our care heartworm positive and have been through heartworm treatment. While Rolo is currently cleared, Cadbury will need to continue his prescription heartworm prevention for the next 6 months and then be retested (this is included in the adoption fee). It will be very important that both dogs stay on year-round heartworm preventive for the rest of their lives. Rolo and Cadbury are a bonded pair and will need to stay together. Because of their history and life before rescue, they will need to have a home with a secure fence. They do great with other dogs and cats but would like a home with no young children (<10 years) as they can be a little skittish. They love to play with squeaky toys and enjoy treats. They are both potty-trained as well. They will need a home that understands them and gives them the time and patience needed to become comfortable in a new environment.

Rolo and Cadbury’s adoption fee is $400 and includes neuter surgeries, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, microchips with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class for each.
