Dog of the Week: Maverick

Say hello to Maverick, a seven-month-old ball of energy who’s as sweet as he is spirited! This wild child is all puppy; he’s goofy, curious, and always ready for action. Maverick already knows how to sit, shake, lie down, drop it, and stay, and he’ll trot right into his crate with his crate command.  He’s almost potty trained; he’s getting the hang of it, just needs a little more time and consistency.  He’s full of that classic puppy energy with nonstop motion, goofy zoomies, and always ready to play until he finally crashes. When he does, he turns into the biggest cuddle bug, soaking up all the snuggles he can get. He’s obsessed with toys of all kinds, and he’ll keep himself entertained (and you, too!) if there’s a ball, squeaker, or chew nearby. 

He can be a bit stubborn; he definitely has a mind of his own, but with the right mix of patience and structure, he’ll thrive. And just so you know, he’s a bit of a barker. He likes to make his opinions known and isn’t shy about speaking up when he wants something. Maverick is full of personality, super smart, and would do great with an active individual, couple, or family that’s ready to give him guidance, love, and LOTS of playtime.  Since he can be a rough player, he’ll do best in a home that understands typical puppy behavior and is committed to helping him continue learning good manners.  If you’re ready for a little chaos, a lot of love, and a pup who will keep you on your toes, Maverick is your guy! 

Maverick’s adoption fee is $300 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
