Dog of the Week: Lulu

Julia D Dog of the Week

Lulu is a very energetic, young adult heeler/terrier dog. She LOVES to play tug-of-war with rope toys and also fetch. Lulu gets along fine with other dogs, but does get protective over her toys and food so should be monitored with her interactions and fed in her crate if other dogs are around. Lulu has a strong, energetic personality so she might do best with more laid-back dogs and an owner familiar with her breed. Lulu definitely wants to chase cats, so a home without cats or other small animals would be best for her. Lulu will need to be crated when not supervised to make sure she doesn’t chew and eat things she shouldn’t as she has a history of a bowel obstruction after eating something she shouldn’t have (likely a child’s toy). Lulu doesn’t love being left in the crate for long periods of time and is a loud barker for her size, so she would prefer not to be in an apartment/townhouse with close neighbors. If you are looking for some excitement and energy in your life and are willing to keep Lulu stocked up on sturdy chew toys, she would love to come join your household!

Lulu’s adoption fee is $250 and includes spay surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
