Dog of the Week: Gabe

Hi! My name is Gabe, I am eight years old, and I love medium walks through the neighborhood. I would go on longer walks but my foster mom says I need to lose a few pounds before I can do long walks. Some of my other favorites include pets, belly rubs, and rolling around in the grass.  I’m a pretty easygoing guy, happy to just chill with my foster family. I lay around on the floor or sometimes I chill in my kennel with the door open. After my bedtime pets, I sleep nicely on the floor in my foster parents’ bedroom. I even sit nicely while you give my daily brush or trim my nails!  I’m potty trained and will give a little bark if I need to go outside.

I do take a few meds daily and will need to stay on these long-term to help keep my heart healthy.   I did sneak out of my foster family’s fence chasing after a rabbit so a secure fence is important.  My foster mom tells me I’m just like a big, fluffy teddy bear! I’d love a home and a family of my own, I’m best paired with older kids.

Gabe’s adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
