Dog of the Week: Emily
Hi, my name is Emily. I’m an energetic 2 year old pit/terrier mix. I’m a really sweet and loving girl, at least that’s what my foster parents say. I love to give kisses, and I’ll let you rub my belly for hours on end. I enjoy snuggling next to you, laying on my back with all 4 legs straight in the air. My foster parents laugh at me, I guess it’s quite the sight. I’m also a great napping partner. I love playing with my foster brother. He’s a lab they say. He’s bigger than me, but that doesn’t stop me. We have the best time playing tug of war and running the yard together. We even snuggle together. I would enjoy having another dog around, but I also love being the only dog around and getting all the attention to myself. Really any home is fine with me as long as I’m getting affection.
I love treats, walks and playing outside. Although I do like to try to find even the smallest hole in the fence to see if I can go out and explore the outside world. My foster parents just have to keep their eye on me and not leave me unattended out there. But I’m happy to just bask in the sun and run laps around the yard until I’m worn out. I’m a girl, and true to fashion, I do enjoy shoes. My foster mom says I’m not enjoying them the right way though. I guess she doesn’t chew on hers. Who knew? There have only been a couple of casualties with flip flops. Now she just keeps them put away. I also do okay with kids, but sometimes if they are really little I just don’t know how to contain my excitement and can knock them over. Kids over age 5 would be great playmates for me! I’m anxiously awaiting my furever home. Could you be the one?
