Dog of the Week: Doug

Julia D Dog of the Week

Meet Doug! He’s estimated to be 2-3 years old, and we believe he’s a cattle dog/lab mix. While he’s a “big dog” at around 60 pounds, he’s also a little short and stubby! Ladies, if you’re looking for a leading man in your life, don’t snooze on this boy! Doug is a great, active companion who is kennel trained, loves toys, and is sure to be a quick study when it comes to learning new tricks (especially since he’s food motivated!).  He can be shy and slow to warm to strangers, especially men, and he is best suited with kids elementary-aged or older. No cats for Doug please, and low-key dogs seem to be his best match. Doug isn’t a fan of higher energy dogs who get in his face, and he may not be a fit for the dog park. A fence is required as Doug does like to explore and chase outside, including birds and squirrels at the bird feeder!

Doug’s adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
