Dog of the Week: DJ

DJ is such a happy dude! He had a tough start, he was brought into rescue heartworm positive so he has just recently finished treatment to get him healthy. That treatment includes 12 weeks of strict kennel rest so this young guy is all ready to get out and stretch his legs and have some fun as your new adventure buddy! DJ rides great in a car, he makes friends with every single person he meets and while he has good young dog energy, he also calms down very quickly when it’s time to relax! DJ can be dog selective so might be best suited as the only animal in your home, he is not a match with cats. DJ is very people-friendly and we think he’d be great with kids; he’s best paired with elementary-aged or older. With DJ’s history of having heartworm as a young dog, it’s important that his owner understand the importance of providing year-round heartworm preventives and routine vet care!

DJ’s adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
