Dog of the Week: Bugs

Julia D Dog of the Week

Bugs is a 7-month-old hound mix with lots of energy to play! He gets along great with other dogs and knows basic commands like sit, leave it, and come. We are working on down, stay, place, and leash manners. He is very attentive, and eager to please and would be a great candidate for advanced obedience or trick training. He is still a puppy and is curious about everything around him including house plants, new sounds, smells, and any open gate, door, or cabinet – be sure to keep food well back on the counter as Bugs may decide to help himself to any snacks left within his reach! Bugs came to Last Hope with some medical concerns and was very underweight, but he’s all healed up now and ready to become an instant part of your family. Bugs loves toys, nose work games, and going to new places in the car. Bugs dislikes being left home alone and would prefer to be part of a family with lots of time to spend with him.  If you have an older dog they will have a constant companion as Bugs loves to play and wrestle with other dogs. Bugs is house trained but as with all adoptions, he will need extra attention and chances to potty outside when transitioning to a new environment. Bugs is excited to meet you and join your forever home!

The adoption fee for Bugs is $300 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
