Dog of the Week: Billy Bob

Julia D Dog of the Week

Billy is a sweet old man who loves to eat, sleep, and give kisses. Billy does have a heart murmur and takes daily meds for that and a pain med for some soreness in his legs/hips. But don’t worry, he loves to take his meds! Billy has some spotting in his eyes, this has been evaluated by our vet and is just something to monitor at this point and was said to be normal for his age. Billy is happy to lay on the couch with you or sleep in one of his many dog beds. He loves treats and uses doggy puzzles and Kong toys to get them! Now that it’s getting warmer out he is showing us that he loves to smell around the yard, probably hunting rabbits. We are working on potty training and he is learning to tell us when he needs to go out, but he does have some accidents in the house if we go too long without a potty break. He will gladly wear a belly band. Billy would prefer to have someone home with him most of the time. He does not like kennels but has done fine when he’s been left snoozing on his bed for a few hours while his foster family runs errands.  At night they tuck him into his bed on the floor of our bedroom and he goes right to sleep. He is about thirteen years old.

Billy Bob’s adoption fee is $200 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
