Dog of the Week: Alvin

Julia D Dog of the Week

My name is Alvin, If you are looking for a buddy to snuggle on the couch with, I am your guy! I also like to play with squeaky toys and soccer balls. I came from Arkansas back in the day, where I had a rough start and I sometimes am selective of my dog friends. After a proper introduction to new dogs though, I love to play with them.    Not to brag, but I am really smart, too! I have completed obedience 1 class and know a lot of verbal commands and I’m eager to learn more!! I like to make my people happy and smile, I’ll smile back! I am very food motivated, so if you want to teach me even more it won’t be hard! I Love my food puzzle and keeping my mind and body active.

I’d be the best co-pilot in the car! I am also crate trained and have learned how to walk with a gentle leader so I don’t pull so much. And yes I’m house-trained, what do you think I am, an animal?!  I do not like cats and get very nervous around children so I would do best in a home without either. Looking for a mature home that has had some dog experience. I wouldn’t mind being the only dog so I can get lots of love and attention, but I would also be happy with another doggy friend as long as we are a good fit. I’m eagerly waiting for someone to please! Alvin is a little over eight years old.

The adoption fee for Alvin is $250 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
