Cat of the Week: St. Joseph

Julia D Cat of the Week

Hi, I’m St. Joseph! Such a great name, right? Well, before I was rescued I tried breaking into a preschool called St. Joseph’s on the search for love and affection! I am a big boy with lots of cuddles and affection to give. I love to sing to you and give you hugs! Ever in need of someone to talk to? Well, good thing I can hold a conversation! I am basically just a big baby! I love to be held and BOY do I LOVE FOOD! Everyone says I am the sweetest so come meet me! St. Joseph did show a faint FIV+ when tested at intake. FIV simply means a cat’s immune system may be compromised and they can be more susceptible to secondary infections. Most FIV cats live long, healthy, normal lives with no symptoms at all, but consistent and routine veterinary care is very important to monitor their overall health and well-being.  We do request that FIV+ cats reside only with other cats who have also tested positive, however, this disease is only transmitted through deep-penetrating bite wounds.

St. Joseph’s adoption fee is $85 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
