Cat of the Week: Phoenix

Just like the phoenix, rising from the ashes, Phoenix has recovered from a car accident and is ready to live a full life!

When Phoenix was just a young fella, a good Samaritan witnessed him being hit by a car. He had extensive injuries to his back end that required surgery, but he rebounded quickly. Since that injury in 2021, Phoenix remains a fully mobile and active cat that can jump, climb, and play with ease; however, he doesn’t have full control of his bowels. With a consistent diet, he has maintained small, firm stools that will sometimes land outside of the litter box. He is fully litter box trained otherwise.  He likes to play but would much rather be cuddled up, hanging out with his human. He will take all the loves and pets he can get. Phoenix has done okay with other calm, laid-back cats who match his energy, but he is not a huge fan of overly playful young kitties. He would also do well in a home as an only pet. He has not yet been dog tested. Phoenix is about six years old.

Phoenix’s adoption fee is $85 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
