Cat of the Week: Pepper

Pepper is a special boy! He came to us when he was faced with euthanasia. His vet saw how special he was and knew he needed a second chance. Pepper is a curious boy who loves to explore and loves to cuddle. He’s sweet and playful and deserves the best home ever!  Pepper suffered an injury to his tail/back end last fall. He had to have his tail amputated and started having issues with using the litter box and controlling his bladder. He was moved outside full-time because of these issues.

However, they soon learned that this would not work for Pepper as he started having more issues. He is not able to urinate on his own and must have his bladder expressed 2-3 times a day. He has started wearing diapers now that he is with Last Hope and is getting used to being expressed daily. (He’s still not a fan, but who can blame him?)  We are looking for a family for Pepper who is willing to help this boy out a little when he needs it in return for all the love and affection he has to offer. He’s quick to forgive after being expressed and loves attention. We would start out with a foster family to ensure you have all the support you need while learning to care for him. He will come with the diaper collection volunteers have amassed for him. Pepper is about three years old.

His adoption fee is $50 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
