Dog of the Week: Lily

Loyal Lily is an energetic, happy girl who is looking for a calm home to spend the rest of her days. We think she is a terrier-lab mix. She has a beautiful medium-length coat. She is only around 40 pounds and is house-trained and knows sit, plus a few other basic commands. Lily is shy and will need to be introduced to strangers (dog and human kind) slowly, but she is becoming more secure and has had several smooth introductions, especially if you take her for a nice walk first. Being a terrier mix, Lily enjoys the thrill of the chase when it comes to small animals outside. She will do best in a home as either an only pet or with another laid-back male dog that is around her size or smaller. She has plenty of love to share and fill your home with! Lily is one smart cookie and loves to be praised. Loud noises, sudden movement, and storms have been scary for her in the past. She has done well overcoming most fears with some positive reinforcement, but storms can still be frightening for her. Families with young children may not be a good match for Lily at this time.

Lily’s adoption fee is $250 and includes spay surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
