Happy Tail: Aston

Sometimes, fosters fall so in love with their foster pets that they adopt them. We call this a “foster fail.” That makes it sound like a bad thing, but it’s actually very good. The pet doesn’t have to adjust to a whole new environment, and the fosters get to continue to care for a pet they love.

Aston was a foster failure for Melinda. She welcomed Aston into her home and cared for him for about a year, then she decided he was a great fit. She completed the necessary paperwork, and it was a done deal.

He has gotten to go to work with Melinda, and he loves family get-togethers where he gets a lot of attention. He is very well-behaved and gets along with Melinda’s other pets. Aston loves to follow Melinda around the house and go for car rides. When he’s not going on outings, he loves to eat and sleep (don’t we all?). Aston is a senior dog and has some health concerns, but Melinda makes sure he has appropriate vet care and medications.

Aston won the jackpot when Melinda decided to adopt him. He has a loving forever home and a great person to depend on.
