Dog of the Week: Porter

Porter joined Last Hope after his owners abandoned him, leaving him behind when they moved away.  This wonderfully loving boy deserves the very best in a forever home and we’re excited to introduce you to him!  Porter has lived with other dogs and children, he is not interested in a home with small animals but instead prefers the company of mellow dogs his size. He has done doggie daycare and is submissive and playful with dogs his size in a small group setting   Even better would be a home all his own. In his younger years, Porter was known for his ability to jump a fence…he has proven young at heart and can still do this when tempted! He is mellowed out now at around 6 years old, and with a responsible owner who would never leave him unattended, this really should not be an issue.  Porter rides in the car like a champ and he will make a wonderful companion for someone seeking a friendly dog that is moderately active. Porter is strong on a leash, but he is respectful and listens very well! He does not need to be kenneled when left alone. He loves walks!

Porter’s adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.

If you’d like to give this boy the home he deserves, please complete an adoption application HERE to meet him.
