Dogs of the Week: Connery, Niven, David, and George
What is better than snuggling with a puppy on a cold winter night?! We have four five-month-old shepherd mix puppies in need of good homes. When they came to us they were covered in fleas and very itchy! But all the fleas are gone and they’re doing great. Here’s a little more about each of them:
Connery: I’m a female and I am looking for a family that has the time to work with me, like walking on a leash and teaching me lots of fun tricks as I am just a puppy. I am getting the basics of being housebroken but still need a little help. I do great with other dogs but I have not been around cats. I live in a house with young kids and might be a little too energetic for them now that I’m feeling so much better. I’m so smart and think that I could get along with just about anyone, though. I would benefit from a home with another young and confident dog. I also would like a home with a fence but most of all I want a forever family to give me all the love that I deserve and time and attention to make me the best dog I can possibly be!
Niven: Hi my name is Niven and I’m a sweet, smart female puppy. I am calm in new situations and love learning new things during reward-based training. Some of my favorite things are sitting on the couch, treats, and getting scratches. I quickly learned “sit,” “playpen,” (which means go to your playpen), and “look at me” (which is used when I get excited seeing other dogs out for a walk). After I look at my foster mom I get a treat! I am eager to learn much, much more and find a couch of my own. I love going for walks and do pretty well on a leash considering I’m just a puppy. I do well in a car and would love to be your road dog! I like to play with other dogs and do really well taking a bath. Just spread some peanut butter on the wall of the tub and I am all in! I will make a great dog for a very lucky family! I am a super smart, happy, loveable puppy so if you have a yard for me to run around in please come see me! Can’t wait to meet my forever family!
David: Hi my name is David and I have curly hair on my rump. One of my favorite things is to grab a leaf in my mouth and play “keep away” with my sister (Niven). I drop my goofy antics for reward-based training, which I take very seriously and enjoy. I know “sit,” “playpen,” (which means go to your playpen), and “look at me.” I love treats and so I am very trainable! I can get excited in new situations, and getting my attention with “look at me” or “sit” helps me calm down. I ride well in the car, love going on walks, and playing with my sister Niven! I am great with kids and crate trained I am a super smart, happy, loveable puppy so if you have a yard for me to run around in please come see me! Can’t wait to meet my forever family!
George: Hi guys my name is George! I am ready for my FOREVER family! I am definitely a friend to everyone! I love men, women, children, dogs, and even cats! I’m intelligent and independent but I’m also a lover and love to snuggle! I currently live with two other dogs and a cat. I love to play and after all that fun, if the cat takes my bed we can share, I don’t mind. I’m also really goofy. I’m a puppy, what can I say? If I’m in need of attention, I’m not afraid to tell you and throw a toy to you or my doggy foster siblings. I know I mentioned that I’m smart, I already know how to sit and shake! I’m almost potty trained too! If I need to go I will sometimes sit by the door and wait for my foster to let me out! I’ve also started crate training, it’s not my favorite place to be but I’ve been tested a few times with success! I would love a yard to run around in and I would do great with a physical fence or an underground fence. I’m still new to this world and am learning something new every day and I would love for my new family to take the time to teach me how to grow into my best self. So please reach out and ask if you’re looking for a new amazing family member because I’m waiting and I can’t wait to meet you!
