Dog of the Week: Ivan
Ivan and his sister Ivy joined Last Hope all the way from Texas. They were born in a field on the side of the road and lived as a family until good samaritans were able to catch the dogs and bring them into rescue. Ivan has learned to trust people, but he still needs time and space to warm up to strangers. He will thrive in a home with another confident dog that is playful and outgoing. He LOVES toys, especially soft and squeaky rubber ones. Ivan is also very treat motivated, even if he’s nervous he will take treats, so he will be a superstar in obedience classes and this will help to grow his confidence! Ivan will require a home with a physical fence, given that he is fearful and could be a flight risk. He has not been introduced to cats or children, he could potentially be a fit with a dog savvy cat and older children that can recognize a fearful dog.
Ivan’s adoption fee is $25o and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
If you think you can provide a good home for Ivan. please complete an adoption application HERE.
