Dog of the Week: Russell

Man of mystery, Russell is definitely a unique combination of breeds! Our best guess is that he has some cattle dog mixed with something like Chow Chow to give him the distinct body shape that he has! He has long, thick hair, and a sturdy body that is long and low to the ground.  One thing we can say for certain, he is handsome and friendly with people!   Russell can be dog selective, he might be a fit with a medium-sized friendly female dog. He has not meshed well with male dogs so far and tends to bark and react quickly.

He is great with people but has never been around very small children, so 6+ years old would be best for him.  Russell needs to learn some basic commands and manners.  He is not a fan of bicycles, and he does bark when he sees other dogs that get him excited (mostly larger males so far).  Russell’s adoption fee does include a basic obedience course, we think this will be a great fit for him to learn and prove how smart he is! He is about two and a half years old.

Russell’s adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter surgery, being up to date on vaccinations and preventives, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a free obedience class.
