Volunteer of the Month: Cheryl Samuelson
Cheryl began volunteering for Last Hope in January of 2017 and has been an asset to our organization ever since. She had been fostering dogs for a different organization when they changed to a shelter-based setup. A person she knew referred her to Last Hope. Cheryl began by transporting and handling dogs at events as well as running miscellaneous errands as needed. Eventually, she got back into fostering dogs and currently houses one or two fosters at a time. She also spreads the word about Last Hope events and fundraisers.
When asked why she likes volunteering for Last Hope she said, “It’s all about the dogs! It’s very fulfilling to be able to help out an animal in need. Also, I love being part of something bigger than myself.” Cheryl wishes she could save them all.
Thank you, Cheryl, for all that you do for the dogs and Last Hope as a whole! We couldn’t save as many animals as we do without volunteers like you.
