April 2017 Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Brittany Bell, our Volunteer of the Month for April 2017!

Brittany has been volunteering since December 2016 and is a senior in high school. It all started because her mother dragged her to a craft show where Last Hope had a booth set up. She’s glad now that she went with her mother to that craft show because she “enjoy[s] volunteering because animals are my passion and I’ve always wanted to work with them.”

She mainly helps out with the cats at the Adoption Center but has also helped with the dogs there. She has a busy school schedule but makes time to help out Last Hope. Most Sundays you can find her at the Center helping with Cat Adoption Open Houses. Brittany’s also helped with Baths and Microchips events, transporting cats to veterinarian appointments, and helping with adoption events in the community. Recently she’s been using her photography skills to help by taking pictures of the adoptable pets.

Thank you for your dedication, Brittany! It’s nice to see younger people taking an interest in helping animals and the community.
