Dog of the Week: Bandit

Julia D Dog of the Week

Hi everyone! I’m Bandit! That’s right, I have 2 different colored eyes! Pretty cool, right?  I am about 6 years old and I had a pretty rough start to life, but I am ready for my forever home! I love my people and love to be close to you! I really love to play with toys too!  I was an outside dog all my life and got heart worm. Last Hope has helped me get better and I am now done with my recovery! I am so excited because I love to play and run! I love my humans too! I don’t like cats too much, though.  I would do best if I was the only dog in your house.  I can’t wait to find my new home!

Cat of the Week: Snowflake

Julia D Cat of the Week

This boy is the definition of cool cat! He wants nothing more than to lounge around and get a little love now and then. This boy is pretty much unbreakable – he’s not phased by the other animals in his foster home or the little kids. He’s happy to lay in the window and watch the world go by while he takes in a little sun.  If you’re looking for a cool cat to balance out a busy life – he’s your boy! Or if you’re a cool cat looking for your soul mate – he may just be the one!

Dog of the Week: Kaia

Julia D Dog of the Week

Hi, my name is Kaia, and I came all the way from California.  While the west coast has all the sunshine,  I wanted to see how the mid-west farmers daughters lived.  All the dog volunteers at Last Hope say I am the sweetest little girl, I love to snuggle, and give tons of kisses.  I am a very strong girl and need someone equally as strong.  I do not do good with other animals, so I need to go to a furever home that does not have other pets.  I also need a home that has a privacy fence in case the neighbors have pets.  So if you always wished they all could be  California girls and wanted one of your own, then I am your girl…

Cat of the Week: Benson

Julia D Cat of the Week

Benson (or Benny, or Benben, as I like to call him) is a gorgeous kitty who is mostly white, with big patches of striped, gray markings on his body. He is a lovely sight to behold, and his beautiful coat is interestingly somewhere in between long and short fur. He’s like a little lion, discolored lion! This big baby is gorgeous, and just like a piece of modern artwork—very chill, usually stays at a bit of a distance, and likes to do his own thing most of the time, but he won’t turn down some love when you pass by and scratch his ears. Just watch out if his tail starts swishing back and forth quickly, because it means he’s about to pounce! He also has the longest tail I have ever seen on a cat, so, because he will grace you with his presence once he’s warmed up to you, make sure not to accidentally step on it! Benben would probably prefer a larger indoor area that he can roam freely, and he doesn’t seem to like being cooped up in a small room. Benson. Wants. Out. And he cannot stress that enough. If you pass by a door and Benson is behind it, he will make himself known with the most plaintive, pleading meows you have ever heard. You’ll want to drop what you’re doing, open that door, and let him into your life!

Dog of the Week: Shay

Julia D Dog of the Week

My  name is Shay and the vet thinks I am about 9 years old. I am kind of a princess and really want all the attention to myself, so I would like to be the only pet in your house.  I love to go on walks and meet new humans. I walk pretty good on a leash too. I love people of all ages. I am a really good girl!   Because of my age I am starting to have a little trouble seeing but it doesn’t stop me from giving great kisses!

If you’re interested in Shay please complete an application HERE or email adoptions@adopthope.org.

Cat of the Week: Alex

Julia D Cat of the Week

Alex is a curious, sweet girl. She loves to lay in the sun and watch out the windows, loves playing with toys. She has such a big personality! She enjoys being around people and just wants your affection.  Her favorite thing is to follow the volunteers around at the adoption center.  She can’t wait to find a family and forever home of her own! She was born in April 2016 and is okay with cats, dogs, and kids.

If you’re interested in Alex please complete an application HERE or email adoptions@adopthope.org.

Dog of the Week: Tia

tia

Hi, my name is Tia!  I made my way all the way from living on the streets in Cairo, Egypt and I’m ready to find my forever home in Iowa. I LOVE my humans; they are the best thing in the world!  I have a little anxiety and would do well in a home that doesn’t leave me alone for very long and is willing to show me patience in learning that the crate is a safe place. To help me with this, I really need a home with another dog to show me the ropes and follow their lead.  I am the PERFECT dog for your little ones! I sleep on the floor in my little human’s room and I don’t make a peep or wander around at night. More than anything, I just want to be with YOU! I won’t even try to escape out the front door!

If you’re interested in Tia please complete an application HERE or email adoptions@adopthope.org.

Cat of the Week: Culver

Julia D Cat of the Week

culver

Culver the kitten is part tabby, part tortoiseshell – and isn’t she just a beauty?! Culver was rescued off the streets as a tiny kitten by a big-hearted animal lover, who then brought her to Last Hope. Culver was thin and weak, but with proper nutrition and some TLC, has since blossomed into a healthy, vivacious kitten. Culver’s adventure on the streets must have been a little bit scary. She is a little timid at first and might not come to you right away, but if you just pick her up and hold her close, she will melt into your arms and purr pretty quick. Once she gets to know you, she’s less shy.

If you’re interested in Culver please complete an application HERE or email adoptions@adopthope.org.

Dog of the Week: Tanner

Julia D Dog of the Week

tanner

Hi ! I am Tanner and I am looking for a patient, quiet forever home. I am very timid and shy and scare easily. I often run away to find a place to hide when I am frightened. I would do best with small dogs that are nice to me and older kids. My foster mommy is working hard on potty training me but she says I have a ways to go! I love to sit on my foster mommy and daddy’s lap and get lots of attention. I recently had quite a few teeth pulled so I need my kibble to be small and softened with water.

If you’re interested in Tanner please complete an application HERE or email adoptions@adopthope.org.
