Cat of the Week: Charlene

Julia D Cat of the Week

Charlene is a gorgeous long haired black beauty with stunning eyes!  Charlene was one of over 30 cats rescued from a hoarding situation in Cedar Rapids in January 2017. She came to her new foster home in Waterloo on 1/22 and was quite scared at first, but she has since blossomed into a sweet, loving girl! She can still be a bit timid with new people, but she is very affectionate with her foster mom… loves to be petted, gives head butts, purrs easily, and LOVES TREATS! Snuggles on your lap, too! She gets along great with Jackson, who also came from the hoarding house, and probably will do OK with other friendly kitties in a new home, too, since she lived with so many previously.  She loves to trill and talk too!

She should probably start off in one small room where she can become accustomed to the sights, sounds, and smells of her new home when first being taken home. Let her explore and get to know you before letting her out into the whole house. Charlene is a beautiful, sweet girl who sure seems eager to give and receive attention. She is looking for a forever home where she can be finally be safe and spoiled.    How about yours?
